This roleplay is set in an alternative timeline to the Elder Scrolls Games. All mention of the Ebonheart Pact, Daggerfall Covenant and Aldmeri Dominion refers to the same Alliances - in terms of which provinces were involved - yet at an entirely different time to the Elder Scrolls Online. This is also why some aspects of the lore are open to development and expansion across the board.
First Seed, 4E 503
When Reman Scerius formally ascended to the Throne of High Rock he was still seen by many as just a boy. Sixteen years of age, and having had a regent in his place for one year prior, many did not place much faith in him or his abilities. So it was that when the young High King introduced a policy of conscription unease spread through the people of the Daggerfall Covenant. Promising an end to the divides of Tamriel, he initiated a Great War against the Ebonheart Pact and the Aldmeri Dominion, and used the superior armoury skills as well as the energised state of his newly appointed soldiers to his advantage.
During the outbreak of the war, Elsweyr was split into two Provinces - those who agreed with their Alliance to the Aldmeri, and those who sought to protect their best interests by joining with the Covenant. The Northern Province, which was named Anequina, joined Reman in his efforts to become Emperor of Tamriel, their close proximity to Cyrodiil already providing them with Imperial Influences. The Southern Province, Pelletine, chose instead to fight for the Aldmeri - in the vain hope that once the fighting was over Elsweyr could return to its former state.
The death of the High King of Skyrim left the Ebonheart Pact weak and exposed. Seizing the opportunity, Reman pushed the Faction into signing a treaty - they would be left out of the remainder of the war provided they surrendered and submitted to the Covenant. True to his word, Reman was left able to focus his entire forces against the Dominion, who were also forced into submission after another year of fighting. After six long years the Great War ended, and a Treaty was formed between all three nations, unifying them under the rule of a new Emperor.
This heralded in a New Era, as well as the first Emperor Tamriel had seen since the fall of the Mede Dynasty several centuries earlier. As promised, this unification brought with it prosperity and peace, and slowly the nations began to mend and recover from not only the Great War but also the centuries they had been splintered apart. The Province of Elsweyr remained split, however, with distrust still raw between the two regions.
Frostfall, 5E 34
Our story begins here, in the latter days of Frostfall during the 34th Year of the Fifth Era. The Continent of Tamriel has been reunited into one Empire, under the reign of Emperor Reman Scerius, promoting harmony amongst its people. Reman is heralded as a harbinger of peace, and seen by the majority of his subjects as a Hero, yet there are still many from the former Dominion - as well as some Skyrim Supremacists - who are bitter for having bent the knee.
Individuals have set sail to journey from Tamriel to the less-known continents spread across the mortal realm, with news of their successful arrival on Akavir having reached the Capital in recent years from the formerly colonized lands to the East. They told of vast expanses of land which could be colonized, and sent ships back across the ocean to lead others to Akavir safely. Viewing this as an opportunity to expand, the Emperor promised land to anyone willing to join the settlers to the East and help keep the natives at bay.
With this new Age of Expansion on the horizon, the Emperor even offered land to the West to the homeless Orcs of Tamriel - intending to ease the strain they placed on other provinces and their own culture. He stated it was a gift for their services throughout the centuries, and the Orcs quietly leapt at the chance to have a new Homeland. While the majority of Tamriel's inhabitants were unaware of the Orc's settlement in Yokuda, which had become inhabitable again since its former desolation, it was noted that whole villages comprised of Orcs in Hammerfell had been abandoned without explanation.
The Orcs kept quiet as they began to settle in Yokuda, initially focusing on building a stronghold reminiscent of Orsinium on the mainland, while many spread across the surrounding islands which had the ruins of old Redguard settlements. While these locations kept their original names, they were remade in the unique Orsimer fashion.
With so much land up for grabs, for all people of Tamriel, who will take up arms to build in and defend the new Eastern colonies? And how long will it be before Yokuda is revealed as the Orc's new Homeland?
